A welcoming and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions and challenges

Therapy in a safe, comfortable and private setting

My name is Shona and I am person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Inverness, in the Scottish Highlands.

My experience in counselling spreads over an NHS setting, working within the organisation - Addictions Counselling Inverness and through my private practice work.

Within these settings I have worked with adults of all ages with a wide range of issues including anxiety and depression, stress, family issues, addictions, physical and psychological abuse and bereavement.

Speak in confidence

Opening up to someone can be daunting and feel uncomfortable, so I aim to offer a safe, confidential, genuine and accepting environment where you can explore your thoughts emotions and the challenges you are facing.

Your personal growth

As a counsellor I am here to support you in your journey of personal growth, allowing you to explore and utilise your own strengths and personal identity. Eventually this will lead you to discover your own abilities and autonomy, so that you can cope with the current and future problems.

My approach

A person-centred approach allows you to have control over the content and pace of your sessions, with no expectations or judgement. As we build our relationship I want you to feel free and supported to disclose whatever is troubling you.
